Riding Public Transportation Saves Big
APTA released the September Transit Savings Report, which reveals that gas prices are 29 cents higher than last year – this leads to big savings for riders. Giving up one car and relying on public transportation would save, on average, $826 this month and $9,917 annually.

The NY MTA is approaching a renovation of "the Kissing Room" at Grand Central Station. The $15.5 million restoration would return a room and small corridor to the former glory it held as a path directly from Grand Central Station to the Biltmore Hotel.
